The annihilation rate constant is much the same as in photosystem II, which correlates with the similar structure and pigment composition of the two antenna systems present in higher plants. The competition parameter however is significantly smaller than in photosystem II, which is explained the faster trapping time in photosystem I (90 ps) than in photosystem II (300 ps) [7]. [Pg.1290]
