Photoinduced Electron Transfer in a Self-assembled Zinc Naphthalocyanine-Fullerene Diad

1 Photoinduced Electron Transfer in a Self-assembled Zinc Naphthalocyanine-Fullerene Diad [Pg.238]

The self-assembled diad formed by axial coordination of zinc naphthalocyanine (ZnNc) and fulleropyrrolidine bearing a coordinating imidazole ligand (Qolm) is a good example of a supramolecular system undergoing photoinduced electron [Pg.238]

The short component reveals a quenching due to photoinduced electron transfer from the singlet ZnNc to Qolm, as proven by transient absorption spectroscopy. From the above values of decay times, the rate constant and quantum yield for electron transfer can be calculated according to the following relations  [Pg.240]

4 X 10 s and 0.97, respectively, which suggest efficient charge separation in the diad. [Pg.240]
