We met on Sundays for almost a year. She began each tutorial with a short lecture on the type of problem we would be working with, and then provided me with a yellow legal pad and a photocopied set of problems—and sat doing crossword puzzles while I labored. We worked our way up to geometry that way, and on into algebra. 

In all computer homework problems you must submit a copy of the program you used with your name and the date appearing on the graph so the graders can be sure you didn t just photocopy someone else s graph. 

As you learn more and more reactions, this list will grow. With every live new reactions, you should photocopy all of the reactions that you have recorded here. Then, start filling in the products on the photocopy. If you cannot fill them all in, go back to the end of Chapter 8 where you first recorded the reaction, and see how to answer the problem. If you did not fill out the end of Chapter 8, then look through your textbook and your class notes to determine the answer to all three questions (what kind of reaction regiochemistry and stereochemistry ). Repeat this procedure whenever you have entered five new reactions. 

Getting hold of books is nearly always a problem for students. Tell your tutors if it is quite impossible to get hold of what you need. They may be able to arrange for a publication that is in heavy demand to be put in a special restricted loan section of the library. Work with other students on your course so that nobody keeps the books for too long. It may be possible to photocopy...
