Photoalignment of Lyotropic and Discotic LCs

LLC photoalignment was first published in [61, 62]. An azo-dye layer AD-1 of about 0.1 p-m thickness was spin coated on a glass substrate and illuminated with a shadow mask using polarized UV light to form the photoalignment layer
