Phosphorus-Group Chalcogenides

Phosphorus-group chalcogenides a. M2X3 Compounds with CN 3 [Pg.62]

AS2O3 (r) cubic arsenolite (CaF2 deriv.) ( 1) monocl. claudetite (/i2) monocl. claudetite II [Pg.63]

As2Tc3 (r) monocl. layer type ( 10 kb) layer type [Pg.63]

Sb2S3 orthorh., stibnite, ribbons (ferroelectric Tc = 20°C) Sb2Sc3 Sb2S3 type [Pg.63]

The structure of the sulfide Sb2S3 is composed of double ribbons of composition (Sb4S6)n- The ribbons represent deformed portions of a rocksalt structure, somewhat reminiscent of the SnS structure. The coordination number of the Sb atoms [Pg.64]

The extent of restricted rotation about the amide band of (38) was used to compare the electron-withdrawing process of phosphonium salts (38, Y = alkyl) and chalcogenides (38, Y = O or S) with the more conventional electron-withdrawing groups. These phosphorus groups were found to exert a — A7 effect comparable with that of a nitro-group. [Pg.259]
