Phospholipid:diacylglycerol acyltransferase PDAT

The FA from PC may be transesterified to DAG by phospholipid diacylglycerol acyltransferase (PDAT) to form TAG (Wilson, 2004 Lung Weselake, 2006). Ly-sophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase (LPCAT) can catalyze the FA exchange with acyl-CoA, contributing in this way with polyunsaturated acyl-CoA to the TAG synthesis (Lung Weselake, 2006). Finally, the formation of CDP-choline and DAG... [Pg.206]

Acyl-CoA-independent processes have been identified that depend on either phosphatidylcholine (PC) or DAG as donors of fatty acyl moieties to DAG. These reactions are catalyzed by phospholipid diacylglycerol acyltransferase (PDAT) or diacylglycerol transacylase (DGTA), respectively. Complementary DNAs (cDNAs) encoding PDAT have been isolated (Dahlqvist et al. 2000, Stahl et al. [Pg.8]
