Phosphane physical properties

PH3 is that phosphorus-hydrogen compound for which by far the most information is available regarding its chemistry and physical properties. The scientific interest in this compound is mostly due to the fact that it is the phosphorus analog of ammonia exhibiting, however, a quite different chemical behavior and also substantial differences in its major physical properties compared to those of NH3. Phosphane is also of some industrial importance either itself or as an intermediate in chemical, electronic, and food industries (cf. 1.3.1.6, p. 293). [Pg.112]

Earlier investigations of the physical properties of phosphane are described in Phosphor C, 1965, pp. 24/30 thermodynamic data of formation are given on pp. 10/1 and solubility data on p. 50 of that volume. [Pg.176]
