Better documentation, guidance documents, standardized models, and software would make evaluation of submitted models more efficient and reproducible. In general, EMs for pesticide risk assessments need to explicitly address the issues of regulations, for example, safety factors. [Pg.35]

Until that time, policies relating to pesticide sale and use had been largely dominated by the concept of "economic poisons", and regulations were influenced by consideration of the types of compound that had been developed in the years following the Second World War.
