In Chapter 7, we will discuss leadership and how effectively a safety culture will be enhanced. As we discussed in Chapter 4, Setting the Direction for the Safety Culture , you have to ask yourself daily What is important today and what has to be done now When you choose your project of the day, it should be in line with your vision/mission of improving the safety culture. The so-called real world will intrude if you have not established personal leadership to counter the scope drift that we have discussed in Chapter 3, Analyzing and Using Your Network . Your internal vision/mission as a leader provides the guidance on how to adapt and change in all types of situations ...
