Peroxide Curable HyTemp

Peroxide Curable HyTemp PV-04 is sensitive to the amount of peroxide used, hence it is necessary to use 2.0 pphr of Vulcup 40KE with 2.0 pphr of HVA 2 coagent for optimum properties. Information on this combination is provided in Table 5.7. [Pg.179]

A peroxide curable grade, HyTemp PV-04, is available liom Zeon Chemicals for 0-rings, seals, gaskets as well as binders, adhesives, caulks, and plastic modification. This grade offers good compression set without the need for a post-cure, but is sensitive to exact curative levels [15]. NOK also has a polyacrylate that may be cured with peroxides, but information on it is not readily available. [Pg.159]

Peroxide-curable grade fix)m Zeon Chemical is HyTemp PV-04. It has an oil swell of 45% and a low-temperature resistance of —30°C. This polymer may also be used for plastic modihcation and for sealants or caulks. The formulation given in Table 5.7 contains the recommended level of peroxide, which is critical with this elastomer for... [Pg.167]
