Performance comparisons of FPA measuring cameras

Uncooled IRFPA imagers, operating within the 7-14 pm region, are suitable for most applications in  

Cooled PtSi or InSb imagers are preferable where spectral selectivity at shorter wavelengths is important (such as plastic web temperature measurements) or for high-temperature appUeations (such as furnace measurements). 

Salient perfonnance characteristics of a typical imager in this category are  

InSb-based imagers have somewhat better thermal sensitivity than PtSi-based imagers and are somewhat more expensive.
