Per-modification at the C3-, C2-, or C6-Position

Per(3-deoxy)-y-cyclomannin was synthesized starting from y-CyD. Per(6-silyl)-per(2,3-mannoepoxy)-y-CyD was prepared using the same procedure as for the p-CyD derivative. Reduction of the epoxide was performed using UAIH4 [102]. 

Photoaddition of the thiol 2,3,4,6-tetra-0-acetyl-j8-D-l-thioglucopyranose to the allyl ether functions of per-2-allyl-, per-6-allyl-, and per-2,6-diallyl-yS-CyD derivatives
