Peptide mRNA target selection

Over the past few years, a number of strategies have been developed to screen random peptide libraries for sequences targeting specific proteins. Peptides with desired binding properties can be serially selected and amplified based on a physical link with the encoding cDNA. These technologies include mRNA/DNA, viral, ribosomal, and cell displays with phage display being by far the most commonly used and probably the best understood. [Pg.535]
