Pentanoic acid, 4,4 -azobis

CAS 2638-94-0 EINECS/ELINCS 220-135-0 Synonyms Azobis (cyanovaleric acid) 4,4 -Azobis (4-cyanovaleric acid) Pentanoic acid, 4,4 -azobis (4-cyano)-Empirical C12H16N4O4... [Pg.367]

This is achieved by the reaction of the pendant hydroxyl groups with an excess of a bifunctional isocyanate, such as toluene diisocyanate. In the second step, an acid group or hydroxyl group containing an azo initiator is fixed on the modified surface. Two azo initiators, 4,4 -azobis-(4-cyano-pentanoic acid) and 2,2 -azobis-(2-cyanopropanol) are bearing the desired... [Pg.8]

A Chol-based radical initiator can be prepared by reacting Choi with 4,4 -azobis (4-cyano-pentanoic acid chloride) and used to polymerize vinyl monomers. Either 2-mercaptoethanol or thiocholesterol is used as chain transfer agent, generating amphiphilic polymer conjugates with Choi entities at one end or both ends, respectively. Higher amount of chain transfer agent is needed to achieve low PDl, with the concomitant limitation to low MWs [136, 137]. [Pg.174]
