Parametric Resynthesis

In this chapter we used a variety of our techniques to build a complete system to analyze and synthesize the sounds of walking. The system was tested on hand crafted, real-world gravel sounds with good results. The system has been applied to a variety of sound effects recordings of walking. One obvious next step would be to connect this system to a motion capture system, automatically lining up the audio footfall sounds with the graphical/ sensor data. [Pg.199]
