Packaging methods

For any packaging method, provision must be made for opening of the package and retrieval of the sterilized article in a manner that does not compromise its stetiHty. 

Do instruct stock keepers on the effects of lost identity, mixing product, handling and packaging methods. 

Unfortunately, both the drug-reminder cards and packaging methods described here must be made for each patient on an individual basis, and some people are not willing to take the extra time needed to prepare these systems.

Since a large part of the beer market is take-home beer, brewers must provide retailers with packs that are easily handled and stored. Clear shrink wrapping has become a dominant feature because it permits the content of the pack to be seen. Other packaging methods are Shrink Wrapped 2 dozen Tray Pack, Cardboard Sleeve, Hi Cone 3 Pack, Hi Cone 6 Pack in Tray, and Top Clip Botde Pack (see Packaging MATERIALS). 

The relationship between irradiation flavor intensity and temperature is essentially linear for both packaging methods, except for the temperature of — 140°C. where in both cases the irradiation flavor intensity observed was too high. This suggests that the temperature control system may have failed during the irradiations at this temperature. The flavor scores shown in Table V for a second set of samples (from a different animal) irradiated at —140° and — 196°C. in a subsequent experiment support this suggestion.

The microreactor design was constrained by the requirement that all electrical and fluidic connections between the microreactor and other system components be implemented using so-called packaging methods that were easy-to-use while maintaining process robustness. The microreactor and any supporting components had to be heated so they could safely operate above the dew points of the feed and product stream compositions, thereby preventing any product condensation from the gas-phase. For these reasons, a simplihed methodology was required that facilitated microreactor removal and replacement.
