Oxcarbazepine Erythromycin

Cimetidine, erythromycin, and dextropropoxyphene had no effect on the pharmacokinetics of MHD. Results with warfarin show no evidence of interaction with either single or repeated doses of oxcarbazepine. 

Erythromycin does not appear to affect the pharmacokinetics of oxcarbazepine. 

In a study in 8 healthy subjects the pharmacokinetics of a single 600-mg dose of oxcarbazepine was unaffected by erythromycin 500 mg twice daily for 7 days. Erythromycin appears not to interact with oxcarbazepine, and no speeial precautions therefore seem to be required during eoneurrent use.
