Overview complexing agents

This process employs conductive polymers as template for the galvanic copper deposition and competes with chemical (electroless) copper deposition processes that employ strong complexing agents (like ethylenediamine-N,N,N, N -tetraacetic acid) and formaldehyde in presence of copper salts and other direct metallization processes. An overview on copper deposition processes is given in Table 10.2. [Pg.185]

The following three chapters describe different classes of X-ray contrast agents. The fourth chapter gives an overview on the chemistry of extracellular iodinated X-ray contrast agents starting with possible routes of synthesis. However, the main focus rests on analytical considerations with particular emphasis on the complex pattern of isomers. In particular dimeric compounds such as iodixanol and iotrolan exhibit a plethora of different types of isomers such as enantiomers, diastereoisomers, cis-trans isomers, and rotamers. In this chapter, the correlation of HPLC peaks with individual isomers is described in detail. [Pg.299]

This overview will consider some of the advantages and limitations of using immunochemical techniques to identify and quantify environmentally important agents. A few illustrative examples will be taken from methods used to quantify nicotine and its metabolites. We are interested in nicotine because it is pharmacologically active and the agent responsible for addiction to tobacco products. Once, also, it was used widely as a pesticide. Its catabolism in mammals is complex some of the more common metabolites are shown in Figure 1 11,12). [Pg.4]

A general review on rhenium complexes containing poly(pyrazolyl)borates appeared in 1998.110 In 2004, an overview of the progress involving group VII elements and actinide was presented by Santos and coworkers,111 who very recently described also rhenium and technetium complexes anchored by scorpionates prepared for radiopharmaceutical application.112 Keane and Harman described exhaustively the coordination chemistry of a new generation of Tt-basic dearomatization agents M(Tp)(L)(7t-acid). 113 Jones et al.114 reported a review on the role of unstable alkane... [Pg.18]
