Other useful products obtained in oil recovery

The edible protein fraction of grapeseed oil would amount to about 12 thousand tons, roughly equal to the oil recovered. Prices for short ton of meal feeds in 1992 varied from US 155 for cottonseed and approximately US 172 for soymeal. Presscake for grapeseed should be useful for ruminant feed. 

No reports were found of toxic substances identified in the oil or protein fractions recovered from grapeseed. No special handling or processing was required for oil recovery.
