Organoindiums hydrocarbons

With no solvent, the more reactive halides, such as allyl or benzyl (I or Br), produce colored products that are presumably hydrocarbon polymers. However, if the reaction is run in dioxane, the organoindium dihalides can be isolated as the 1,4-dioxanates in approximately ca.l2 h. 

Organogallium and organoindium peroxides, unknown until now, have been prepared, reactions (26), (27), (M = Ga or In in saturated hydrocarbon solvents...
