Organic peroxides peroxidizable compounds

Organic peroxide an organic compound that contains the bivalent 0-0 structure and which may be considered to be a structural derivative of hydrogen peroxide where one or both of the hydrogen atoms has been replaced by an organic radical. Organic peroxides are oxidizers and fuels in one, and are therefore unstable and potentially explosive. Peroxidizable means a chemical that will form organic peroxide when exposed to air. [Pg.5]
