Organic chemistry distinction from inorganic

This reaction showed that it was not necessary for organic compounds to be have been produced from living species. With the tremendous growth in organometallic chemistry, there is even less distinction between inorganic and organic chemistry. 

The historical molecular bias of organic chemistry necessitates the reiteration that supermolecules are not just collections of molecules and that their structure and characteristic properties are distinct from the aggregate properties of their molecular constituents.
