Organic and Inorganic Stains for Raw Feed Mineral Identification 

Using stains to preferentially color certain minerals in raw feeds greatly facilitates their microscopical and macroscopical observation and identification. The techniques described below were modified from those published by Hutchison (1974) and Carver (1971) to aid in quarry rock and raw feed examination.
