An interesting alternative definition is obtained by reversing abscissa and ordinate. If the cumulative fraction F is taken as abscissa and t(F) as ordinate, integration of t(F) from F = 0 to F = 1 gives... 

The formal view. The formal view is much simpler. The racemic catalysts have a twofold axis and therefore C2-symmetry. Both sites of the catalysts will therefore preferentially co-ordinate to the same face (be it re or si) of propene. Both sites will show the same enantiospecificity the twofold axis converts one site in the other one. Subsequently, insertion will lead to the same enantiomer. According to the definition of Natta, this means that isotactic polymer will be formed. If the chain would move from one site to the other without insertion of a next molecule of propene, it will continue making the same absolute configuration at the branched carbon atom. Hence, no mistake occurs when this happens.

Note 1 The relationships between the x and Xi for orthogonal homogeneous deformations are a particular case of the general relationships given in Definition 1.3, provided the deformation does not include a rotation and the co-ordinate axes are chosen as the principal directions of the deformation. 

According to the appeals court, The primary legal issue is whether the Legislature has completely preempted the field of regulation of handgun sales.
