Operation of Continuous Vacuum Dryers

The major difference between the operation of a batch and continuous dryer is, that the process pressure has to be on one constant level all the time and everywhere inside the process area. With some dryer designs like, for example plate dryers it is possible to realise different temperature zones to optimise the equipment. 

As there are always the same conditions and mass flows into and out of the system the design basis for the peripheral components are defined.
