Operation Casablanca

May The United States launches an undercover anti-money laundering effort called Operation Casablanca. 167 persons are arrested, and three Mexican and four Venezuelan banks are indicted. However, Mexico and Venezuela both strongly object to what they consider to be a violation of their national sovereignty.
