Numerical Estimates for Optimized Parameters

Evaluated at the van Deemter optima, using the cg proximate expressions in Equations [3.43—3.47], for an inlet pressure of3000psi (20 MPa), viscosity 0.4 x 10 Pa.s, and diffusion coefficient ef amilyte in the mobile phase of2x 10 m. s.  

NB The equations used for these estimates are highly approximate, but the trends are important. Note also that a different set of assunqrtions (e.g., a variable rather than a fixed inlet pressure) would lead to a somewhat different dependence cf these performance parameters on dp.
