These results support the view that a very important part of the overall reaction coordinate is due to the reorganization of the solvent which should not be ignored when examining the intrinsic mechanism of a reaction. 

5 Nucleophilic Substitution at the Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Sulfur Centers 

The theoretical studies of these reactions are relatively scarce being chiefly represented by the data of semiempirical calculations even so the results obtained provide some valuable information on the stereochemical route of nucleophilic attack upon heteroatomic centers and bear witness to the general character of the AdE scheme in nucleophilic substitution reactions.
