Nothingness 120 will

It has been claimed that the second law means that the universe as a whole must tend inexorably towards a state of maximum entropy. By an analogy with a closed system, the entire universe must eventually end up in a state of equilibrium, with the same temperature everywhere. The stars will run out of fuel. All life will cease. The universe will slowly peter out in a featureless expanse of nothingness. It will suffer a heat death . 

A modern alchemy succeeds where the old failed. The ancients of the Middle Ages [sic] were never able to change lead into gold, but the medium of electronics turns magnetized particles (bits) into money-like value. Money seems for a time to be conjured out of nothingness, to be returned to nothingness either quickly or at an indeterminate moment.. . . Nor do we know, at this time, whether people will even want to do—and pay in this manner for— much significant business on the Internet. We don t yet have a do-it-yourself... 

A possible explanation of the all-or-nothingness effect is provided by the theory that the water may be concerned in the initiation of a chain-reaction which, once started, proceeds explosively. Certain exothermic reactions which proceed explosively or not at all are known, and will be dealt with more fully in Chapter VI.

The metaphor of mystical death and of the nothingness of souls illustrates the killing of the old Adam in analogy with Christ s Passion. According to Lead, souls that have accomplished this process of self-denial are finally reunited with Christ s dead body. They are buried with the Lord. However, this means that the following step is that of the Resurrection, since there can be no doubt that the same Spirit which raised him [Christ], must and will raise up such as are dead in him . ... 

And there the manipulator is a decisive factor, and because it has just been one big question mark. .. it is an unknown technology for them (the people involved in the manipulator project) and sometimes they are drawn in to it ehm. .. and are told that yes, but this is something that should look like this, but we do not quite know what it will cost, and we do not quite know when and how. .. So, we have started a process, but from there, they have heard nothing. At least that is what I hear. No one said, we close down the manipulator project for a period of time, because we do not have the resources and such, so, eh, people were sort of left in a kind of nothingness.
