Nonclosing type

A typical rupture disk and its assembly are shown in Figure 4.8. These devices are the nonclosing type and once opened require replacement. A rupture disk can be installed to protect vessels, piping systems, and other pressure-containing components. [Pg.262]

Unlike other pressure relief devices, rupture disks do not fall back to the original position when the pressure is reduced. The rupture disk is of the nonclosing type and needs to be replaced manually. [Pg.265]

In this case, for fi 0 there are no critical points on the cylinder surface and there exist two qualitatively different types of flow characterized by the angular velocity fl. Namely, for 0 < Ift l 1, there are both closed and nonclosed streamlines in this case, near the cylinder surface, there is an area with completely closed streamlines, and at large distances from the cylinder, the streamlines are not closed (Figure 2.11). For ls > 1, all streamlines are closed. [Pg.92]

The reaction was also described with a template model too [5-7] which presumes a nonclose packed ordered array of adsorbed cinchona alkaloid molecules. Wells supposed three types of active sites. Two of them are producing (R) or (S) product depending on the type of cinchona alkaloid and the third one that is an active site which is not templated produces the racemic product. This model concurs with that of proposed by Blaser. [Pg.100]
