Non-isothermal decomposition reactions

Actually, liteiature reports two types of experiments carried out at variable temperature  [Pg.460]

Galwey and Brouwn [GAL 99] presented a synthesis of these methods. They generally used a linear programming of the temperature according to time and applied the following system of equations  [Pg.460]

However, these equations, posed a priori, assume the acceptance of two assumptions that are not, in general, checked with experiments by the users  [Pg.460]

Moreover, the first users of these methods used a function/(a) in the form  [Pg.461]

The purpose of the non-isothermal study was then to determine at the same time the values of the energy of activation and n with only one experiment. A certain number of suppliers of apparatuses (thermogravimetiy) propose kinetics software that makes it possible to use these methods to determine the energy of activation, and n. Of coiu e, if the basic assumptions of these expressions do not apply, we always obtain a value of the energy of activation and a value of n with no physical meaning and even changing with time  [Pg.461]
