Nomograph, pressure correction

The nomograph combines all of these corrections (4) except the one for higher liquid vapor pressures. Physical properties of each of the inorganic gases are incorporated in the primary and secondary scales identifying the dissolved gas. 

The true instrumental method of analysis requires no reduction of data to normal pressure and temperature, no corrections or computations, no reference to correction factors nor interpolation on nomographic charts. It indicates the desired information directly on a dial or counter and if it is desired to have the answer printed on paper—that can be had for the asking. (Muller, 1947, pp. 23A-24A)... 

The nomograph of Figure 3-3 can be used to provide an estimate of the corrosion rate in the regenerator overhead and the contactor bottoms of amine plants when CO2 is the only acid gas present. De Waard and Lotz (1993) also discuss the use of correction factors to account for the effects of corrosion product films, pH, system pressure, system geometry, glycol or methanol, crude oil, inhibitors, and flow velocities on corrosion rates.
