In the present chapter, we wish to mention a certain number of interesting new results which have come to our knowledge too late to be incorporated in the main text. 

Before doing so, we would like to draw attention to a paper by R. L. Scott [1956] who developed independently an approach quite similar to the one used in Ch. IX-X. As in the formulation given by Prigogine, Bellemans and Engeert-Chwoles [1956], Scott also proposes a corresponding states treatment of non-electrolyte solutions. 

The idea of identifying the solution with some idealized pure liquid is also inherent in recent calculations by Brown ), Kirkwood ) and Mayer ).
