Neutron diffraction measurements ordering

Magnetic interactions in [OsFsk have been studied by susceptibility and neutron diffraction measurements it is magnetically ordered at TN = 6 K.759 The magnetic moment varies from 1.73 BM at 101.5 K to 2.06 BM at 295.4 K.756... 

Several structural types were isolated in ruthenium oxides corresponding to polymetallic units with ruthenium in the oxidation state III, IV or V [52]. UPt has been reported to order ferromagnetically (or maybe ferrimagnetically) below Tc = 27-30 K by several authors (Matthias et al. 1969, Huber et al. 1975, Franse et al. 1981). The most profound study of UPt (magnetic, electrical resistivity, specific heat and neutron diffraction measurements) was made by Frings and Franse (1985a). Itinerant character of the magnetism in UPt follows from a rather low value of the spontaneous magnetic moment [(0.4-0.45)jlib per formula unit as measured on polycrystalline material]. Measurements of the temperature dependence of x indicate the onset of antiferromagnetic ordering in UPd2Ge2 below 139 K (Ptasiewicz-Bak et al. 1981). Results of neutron diffraction measurements point to a longitudinally modulated structure with an amplitude of 2.80jub and a propagation vector [0, 0, ]. Magnetic moments were found only on the U atoms.
