Neural plate regionalization mesoderm

The chord in T/-h embryos fails to reach the caudal region (neural tube and/or caudal part of the archenteron). As in normal mice, the chord is completely separated from the neural plate (or neural tube) and from the closely associated mesoderm. The growing end of the chord in T/- - embryos, however, was longer and bulkier than normal the base, which is linked with the neural tube, is wider than normal the ventral zone is sharper (Griineberg, 1958). [Pg.183]
