The primary resource for transportation-related energy statistics is the Transportation Energy Data Book, http //cta.ornl.gov/data/index.shtml (accessed September 13, 2010), produced by Oak Ridge National Laboratory as part of the Center for Transportation Analysis, which is sponsored by USDOT and USDOE. An annual compilation of statistics from a number of other sources produced by several different agencies, it contains data on petroleum and energy, emissions, and vehicles. All data tables are available for download in XLS, and the whole document is available as a PDF. [Pg.502]
