Due to the low voltage and high theoretical capacities, silicon and germanium are obvious candidates for the lithium anode. The Li-Si and Li-Ge phase diagrams are replete with alloy phases with high lithium content. A few of the possible Li-Si compositions are shown in the reaction below  [Pg.71]
