Gold could be deposited on porous coordination polymers (PCPs) as clusters and nanoparticles smaller than 5 mn by grinding dimethyl Au(III) acetylacetonate with PCPs. In particular, on Al-containing PCP, the mean diameter of Au was minimized to 1.6 mu. These tiny Au clusters exhibit markedly high catalytic activity and selectivity in A-alkylation of amine with alcohol under N2. 

Porous materials discussed at the International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies 2005 included clay minerals, silicates, aluminosilicates, organosilicas, metals, silicon, metal oxides, carbons and carbon nanotubes, polymers and coordination polymers, or metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, thin films, membranes, and monoliths (Zhao, 2006).

Depending on the calcination temperature, 0036 5 or CoO were obtained from [Co(ox)-2.5H20] compound [120].
