Murolane sesquiterpenes

Three neurotropic sesquiterpenoids, veranisatins A, B and C, were isolated from star anise (7. vemm Hook, fil., Illiciaceae) (Nakamura et al., 1996). A dichloromethane extract of 7. tsangii yielded murolane sesquiterpenes and menthane monoterpenes (Ngo et al., 1999).
