Scattering multiple light

A rapid change in the foam structure, related to the film reorientation in the process of internal foam collapse has been reported in [11,12], The method employed was of a multiple light scattering. The rate of structural changes in a unit foam volume is proportional to f2 (after the first 20 min). The foam studied was a shaving cream (Gillette Foamy). 

Using the method of multiple light scattering technique Durian et al. [12] have expressed the dependence of the average bubble diameter on time (after 20 min) in an exponential form... 

The high sensitivity of optical density to changes in foam expansion ratio and dispersity can be used as a background for developing optical techniques for the determination of these foam parameters. The theory of extinction of the luminous flux by the foam in which multiple light scattering is accounted for has been developed in [76]. 

Another approach towards foam optics in which the multiple light scattering is accounted for is described by Zege et al. [81]. Furthermore, in a qualitative form the intensity of the scattered light has been used in several works dedicated to the study of different structural transformations in foams [82-85],...

One obvious way to reduce the contribution of the multiple light scattering is to use a very thin sample cell of an optical path length below 100 Alternatively, PhiUies suggested...
