Multidentate crystal structure

The crystal structure of (232) is reported. Ir complexes bound to the multidentate ligand as in (232) have proved successful in the enantioselective reduction of a,/3-unsaturated ketones to allylic alcohols.404... 

The crystal structure of platinum ethylxanthate, Pt(S2COEt)2,251 NMR spectroscopic studies of platinum xanthate-multidentate polyphosphine complexes,252-254 and a comparative study of the electronic spectra of Ni, Pd, and Pt xanthates255 have been reported. 

Multidentate amine ligands react readily with palladium(II) halides to yield chelated products. Crystal structure determinations have been carried out for 1,2-diaminoethane complexes [PdCl2(en)], [Pd(en)2]Cl2 and [Pd(en)2][Pd(S203)2(en)]. A variety of 1,2-diaminoethane, 1,2-diaminocyclohexane and 1,3-diaminocyclohexane complexes have been prepared because their necessarily cis geometry makes them analogous to the antitumour platinum complexes. In contrast to compounds tram-[PdX2L2] these former complexes are claimed to have activity comparable with or greater than that of cisplatin. ... 

Stereochemical aspects of these multidentate ligand replacements have been described and discussed for the reaction of [Co(dimedta)] with ethylenediamine, of [Pb(edta)] with d-(—)-cydta, of the d- and l-pdta complexes of lead(ii) with D-, L-, and DL-forms of cydta,and of [Co(glycine)2(C03)] with iS-(-l-)-glutamic acid. An A"-ray crystal structure of L-(-h)-glutamatobisethylenediaminecobalt(m) perchlorate has yielded results which help to shed some light on the mechanism of reactions of [Co(en)a(C03)]+ with amino-acids. ...
