Morphology Dispersion particle

The formation of migration paths of dispersed particles as shown in Fig. 9 suggests a new approach for the modulation of polymer blends and morphology. It is expected that ER or MR effects show not only smartness but also unique anisotropy therefore, many workers are studying these effects from the point of view of polymer processing. 

The morphology of nascent PTFE dispersion also remains unclear. Several authors, during the next decade of PTFE morphology research, suggested standard-size PTFE dispersion particles (ellipsoidal particles with dimensions... 

The activity and selectivity of heterogeneous catalysts generally depend on the state of metal dispersion (particle size), structure (shape and morphology), metal composition, and metal-support interactions. If the catalytic centers include many metallic atoms, the electronic and geometric distributions of the constituents elements may be strongly related to the chemical reactivities and catalytic performances of the bimetallic and alloy catalysts (5). 

Results/Morphology. LM micrographs of the melt structure of the PE-POM blends at 170 c are displayed in Figure 2. The components are phase separated. The diameter of the dispersed particles of the POM, that is the minor component in these figures, decreases from about 20pm after one extrusion run to about 5pm after five ones.
