CPE modifiers are also suitable for flexible PVC applications where a high degree of flexibility combined with durability is required. Acting as a permanent plasticiser, the liquid plasticiser component can be eliminated or substantially reduced. 

ABS resins can be added to semi-rigid PVC formulations to improve hot melt strength, elongation and low temperature flexibility. Particular use is in deep draw forming applications.
