Experimental procedures are often lacking any one or more of the following items  

Masses of drying agents used (magnesium or sodium sulfate) 

Masses of silica gel or alumina used in flash chromatography 

Mass of dihydrogen used in hydrogenation reactions Mass of dioxygen used in oxidation reactions Mass of any gaseous reagent 

Assumptions used by the Environmental Assessment Tool for Organic Synthesis (EATOS) [8] program when masses of auxiliary materials are not reported in experimental procedures are as follows
