Methods of Destroying Military Explosives

This section is simply a primer on some of the terminology and techniques used to destroy military explosives. As noted earlier, this book is not intended as a thorough instruction manual on munitions destruction techniques. Other books already on the market address this aspect. 

Repeated throughout this work is the as is where is theme. From a safety standpoint, old explosives should be moved as little as possible for destruction. Two types of destruction, burning and underwater detonation, may allow the destruction of explosives in closer proximity to populated areas.
