Here only a general review of methods and manipulations has been given, in so far as they are employed in the preparative exercises. The comprehensive and thorough works of Lassar-Cohn, Hans Meyer, and Houben-Weyl should be consulted for special requirements. 

Finally, while it is evident that even traditional processes operate on structures at the nano- and mesoscales, new measurement methods and manipulation techniques will allow us to consider more systematic control at these levels in the future. While this is an absorbing playground for materials scientists, and may well provide routes to controlled delivery of high-value ingredients, we are fortunate that the consumer is also inquisitive. The novel sensory impressions these sophisticated new structures can provide may also result in real commercial value. 

Historically, pnibhshed values of the h/h concentration of both tissue and body fluids from healthy subjects have varied greatly. These great differences were attributed to numerous variables, such as age, sex, dietary habits, physiological conditions, environmental factors and numerous other X-factors. Given the delicate nature and the instability of biological samples, it has been concluded that improper sample collection methods and manipulation drastically affects the iodine content of biological matrices.
