Metallaborane cobalt

In this manner, symmetric or asymmetric structural motifs are available as shown in Scheme 3.1 (cf. GB-48, GB-162, and GB-155). These reactions on cobalt bis(dicarbollide)(l-) cages are based on Plesek s original synthetic concept of ring opening of the B(8) dioxane- cobalt bis(dicarbollide) zwitterion or closely related compounds and have become a very versatile tool for incorporating metallaborane clusters into various molecules and materials. For a recent review of this area, see Semioshkin (2008). [Pg.57]
