Metal-ligand bonds mass spectra

The mass spectra of As and Sb derivatives of the type LM—ER2—ML, where ER2 is a one-electron ligand with respect to one of the metal atoms and a two-electron ligand for the other, have been reported. For example, (CO)5MnAsMe2[Fe(CO)5] (92) has both donor-acceptor Fe—As bonds. The mass spectrum of this complex exhibits peaks due to ions with three and two heteroatoms [(CO) FeMnAsMe2 , n = 0-9 FeMnAsMe FeAsMe and MnAsMe m = 0-2 FeMn" , FeAs", MnAs ], as well as monoheteroatomic ions (Fe , Mn , As "). [Pg.248]
