Meta Analysis of Safety Pharmacology Data Predicting Compound Promiscuity 13.2.1... [Pg.304]

The pharmacology, efficacy, and safety of quetiapine, an atypical neuroleptic drug, have been extensively reviewed (1). Quetiapine interacts with a broad range of neurotransmitter receptors and has a higher affinity for serotonin (5-HT2a) receptors than dopamine (D2) receptors in the brain. In a meta-analysis, quetiapine was as effective as haloperidol with fewer extrapyrami-dal adverse effects (2). [Pg.2995]
