Mercury complexes xanthates

Pyridazines form complexes with iodine, iodine monochloride, bromine, nickel(II) ethyl xanthate, iron carbonyls, iron carbonyl and triphenylphosphine, boron trihalides, silver salts, mercury(I) salts, iridium and ruthenium salts, chromium carbonyl and transition metals, and pentammine complexes of osmium(II) and osmium(III) (79ACS(A)125). Pyridazine N- oxide and its methyl and phenyl substituted derivatives form copper complexes (78TL1979). [Pg.37]

Insoluble starch xanthate (ISX) releases magnesium and takes up heavy metals. There are also a number of proprietary chemicals developed by various companies (e.g. Environmental Technology of Sanford, Florida) for removal of complexed copper, silver (from photographic process wastes), arsenic, nickel, lead, mercury, zinc, cadmium, barium, and other heavy metals. [Pg.68]

Among the recent reports on metal xanthate chemistry the following are mentioned, dealing with the structural diversity of nickel(II),213 zinc(II),214 mercury(II), 15 and tellurium(II) bis (xanthate) complexes,216 based upon different coordination patterns and supramolecular self-assembly. [Pg.362]

The results of these precipitation tests with TMT-15, Thio-Red II, and 5% Na2CS3 can be understood by considering the Ksp values for related metal-ethyl xanthate complexes (22) copper and mercury have the smallest values, 10 and 10, respectively lead and cadmium are slightly higher, 10 and 10, respectively while the values for zinc and manganese are quite high, 10" and 10, respectively. [Pg.154]

Pyridazine forms a stable adduct with iodine, with semiconductor properties. " Similar complexes were prepared from iodine mono-ehloride, bromine, and nickel(II) ethyl xanthate. Complexes of pyrida-zines with iron carbonyls and with iron carbonyls and triphenylphosphine have been prepared and investigated. " Complexes of pyridazines with boron trihalides, silver salts, mercury(I) salts, iridium salts, " ruthenium salts, and chromium carbonyls are re-... [Pg.450]

Lipid-soluble metal complexes such as copper xanthates (from mineral flotation plants), copper 8-hydroxyquinolinate (agricultural fungicide) or alkyl-mercury compounds are particularly toxic forms of heavy metals because they diffuse rapidly through a biomembrane and carry both metal and ligand into the cell. ... [Pg.121]
